KLASERIE CAMPS NZUMBA - Klaserie Game reserve

Where is it located: Klaserie Camp Nzumba è situated within the private concession “Klaserie Private Nature Reserve”, one of the parts of the central Kruger that è been given over to private lodges: it is therefore not a closed private reserve but an area of 7000 hectares reserved for lodge guests but unfenced from the rest of the Kruger. Lodge guests will therefore be able to safari both in the concession and in the rest of the park. The location of the lodge is excellent, as it is quite close to Hoedspruit Airport, from which it is about 30 kilometres of public tarmac road and a couple of kilometres of private dirt road. In front of the lodge is a large waterhole where, especially in the dry season, animals are continually present for watering.

DESCRIPTION: Nzumba Camp, è a little piece of paradise, situated in the north-western part of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, nestled between the Timbavati, Balule and Kruger National Parks. The private nature of this remote wilderness sanctuary allows guests to embrace, in their own time, the sounds, sights and smells of this authentic African bushveld experience. Led by expert guides, you will enjoy exclusive sightings, with excellent photo and video opportunities. Nzumba traverses 7,000 hectares of pristine bushveld, including the picturesque Klaserie River, which is the lifeblood of the reserve, and the famous Olifants River, which flows into the Kruger National Park. Safaris in this wilderness region of the Greater Kruger National Park focus on the bush and its ecosystems, with the added thrill of being involved in memorable game drives. The expert guides have spent a lot of time developing their safaris to ensure you have a better understanding of this very special environment.

The resort is decidedly hospitable and well-kept, with a total of 5 chalets, 2 of which are adjoining family chalets.

The heart of Nzumba è the main area invites guests into its various lounges to relax and lounge on comfortable leather chairs surrounded by memorabilia evocative of the classic romantic era. The bar and library rooms on the upper floor open onto verandas that offer a perfect vantage point over the waterhole.

Rooms: The chalets with private verandas are spacious and luxurious, equipped with air conditioning, private minibar and coffee stations, and line both sides of the main Lodge. Each chalet overlooks the pool and flowing lawns bordering the bushveld and a nearby waterhole often frequented by a variety of game, making it a true Kruger luxury safari.

Klaserie Camp Nzumba is located just a few dozen metres from a large waterhole, which, especially in the dry season, is the destination of a continuous stream of animals that come here to drink. More than in other places, here it is extremely easy to see the spectacle of large families of elephants drinking and bathing.
