Day-by-day programme (13 days / 12 nights)

Day 1 — Windhoek (arrival)

• Hotel: Avani Windhoek Hotel — Treatment: HB (dinner+breakfast)
• Welcome, transfer and brief orientation. Soft walk in the centre (if flight allows). Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 — Kalahari Desert (red dunes & sundowner)

• Lodge: Kalahari Anib Lodge — Treatment:Full board (excluding drinks)
• Drive south through highlands and ranches. In the afternoon nature/game drive over the dunes with sundowner. Memorable starry sky.

Day 3 — Namib Desert / Sesriem (park entrance)

• Lodge: Desert Hills Lodge — Treatment:Full board
• Entering the Namib-Naukluft. Relaxation with desert views, briefing for sunrise exit.

Day 4 — Sossusvlei & Deadvlei (sunrise) + Sesriem Canyon

• Lodge: Desert Hills Lodge — Treatment:Full board
• Departure before sunrise. Dune 45 or Big Daddy (optional), walk to Deadvlei; return via Sesriem Canyon. Afternoon relaxation (optional: hot air balloon).

Day 5 — Swakopmund (ocean & sand)

• Crossing the Namib-Naukluft towards the coast (if time permits: Moon Landscape and Welwitschia). Free dinner.

Day 6 — Sandwich Harbour 4×4 (dunes dipping into the sea)

• Hotel: Hansa Hotel – Swakopmund — Treatment: HB
• Excursion 4×4 to Sandwich Harbour (Walvis Bay) with pic-nic included: dunes + Atlantic, unique viewpoints. Free afternoon and dinner (shopping/museum).

Day 7 — Damaraland (Cape Cross & geology)

• Camp: Ozondjou Trails Camp — Treatment:Full board
• Stop at the Cape Cross sea lion colony. Ascend through rocky deserts and dry river beds. Dinner under the stars.

Day 8 — Damaraland (desert elephants & rock art)

• Camp: Ozondjou Trails Camp — Treatment:Full board
• Morning: tracking with rangers of the desert elephants (if present). Afternoon: Twyfelfontein (UNESCO), Organ Pipes, Burnt Mountain.

Day 9 — Etosha Heights Private Reserve (private safari)

• Lodge: Etosha Heights Lodge  — Treatment:Full board
• Transfer to Etosha West. Game drive of the lodge at sunset (chance rhinos, giraffes, predators). Night-time waterhole.

Day 10 — Etosha Heights (morning on reserve) → Etosha National Park (west/centre entrance)

• Lodge: Mokuti Etosha Lodge (or Etosha Safari Lodge, depending on operativeness) — Treatment: Full board
• Morning game drive in private reserve; entrance to Etosha Park (Galton/Anderson Gate). Fotosafari to the outer lodge (east side).

Day 11 — Etosha National Park (west to east)

• Lodge: Mokuti Etosha Lodge  — Treatment:Full board
• Day full-day safari among famous pools (Okaukuejo, Salvadora, Halali/Goas; conditions permitting passages on Pan). Focus big cats/elephants/antilopes.

Day 12 — Okahandja/Central Highlands (relaxing in the mountains)

• Lodge: Midgard Country Estate — Treatment:Full board
• Return to highlands and farms. Afternoon relaxation: walks, swimming pool, sunset over the mountains. Closing dinner.

• When is the best time? Apr–Nov dry = easier sightings and clear skies; Dec–Mar warmer, greener and better birding.
• Does a 4×4 need to be? On group tours no (dedicated vehicle). For self-drive we recommend 4×4 on some routes..
• Do the guides speak Italian? Yes, for the main tour; the Southern extension è with guide English.

• How many km will you cover? 2,500–3,000 km in 13 days, with balanced stages and photo breaks.
• &Is it suitable for families? Yes, if you are used to travelling “on the road” (some activities have age limits/weather conditions).
