Here is a travel programme that is, to say the least, “spectacular” suitable for those with an adventurous streak, those with a thirst for safaris, and those who do not want to give up the “luxury” (not so obvious) of finding themselves immersed in remote, unspoilt nature.
 
4 countries: Zimbabwe Botswana Zambia and a little taste of South Africa...  in a unique blend of contrasting and immense landscapes. 
 
Travel details ( 10 nights/ 13 days) 
 
Day 1 Italy - Johannesburg
Departure from Italy and flight to Johannesburg

Day 2 Johanensburg
. After disembarkation formalities, meet with driver and private English-speaking guide.

. Start of the guided tour of Johannesburg and the Apartheid Museum (tickets included). Stop for lunch/tasting included. Afterwards transfer to the hotel. Stay at Protea Mariott Balalaika, breakfast included.

Day 3 Johanensburg - Maun ( Botswana) 
After breakfast, meet your private driver in good time and transfer to the airport. Direct flight to Maun. Disembarkation formalities. Afterwards boarding by private flight to the Kwai concession. Transfer to the Kwai Leadwood Luxury Safari Tented Lodge ( 3 nights). Treatment All Inclusive ( drinks and activities included). 

Situated in the middle of the Okavango, this beautiful luxury safari camp is set amidst the trees directly on the river of the same name that separates it from the Moremi concession.
. Here, the crossing of elephants, hippos and even sometimes lions is almost guaranteed. Even those with a lot of safari experience will not be disappointed. 


The camp has an elegant design that blends in perfectly with the surrounding nature: just 6 safari tents and 1 family tent, to ensure privacy and absolutely non-impactful basking

During the day guests can enjoy a whole range of activities included, from game drives in an open vehicle to walking safaris and a mokoro safari (water permitting).


The mokoro is the typical boat of the Delta community. Formerly made of tree trunks, today the mokoro is mostly made of environmentally friendly fibreglass. A relaxing and at the same time mind-blowing experience: trying to distinguish where the sky ends and the water begins is sometimes difficult!  
Night safaris are also organised: the behaviour of wild animals is very different between day and night. Lions engage in hunting and many peculiar animals, rarely seen during the day, come out into the open. So keep your eyes peeled at night for caracals, servals and more.

 
The greatest attraction of the Kwai Kwai is surely the abundance of the extraordinary local wildlife.

Day 6 Kwai- Kasane- Thorn Tree River lodge (Zambia) 
After the last activity of the morning and breakfast, transfer by private flight to Kasane ( Botswana). From here you fly to your next lodge: the Thorntree River Lodge, in Zambia (3 nights) with All Inclusive treatment (drinks and activities included).
Nestled on the banks of the glorious Zambezi River, this beautiful lodge is located within the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and is just under twenty minutes from the spectacular Victoria Falls UNESCO World Heritage Site.
. The activities at the lodge are plentiful: game drives in an open vehicle in the National Park, Rhino Tracking  (the park is home to numerous white rhinos, an endangered and highly protected species. You will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with these magnificent animals, on foot, in safety, accompanied by experienced rangers, following their tracks), cruises on the Zambezi River, visit the Victoria Falls either from Zambia side or from Side Zimbabwe  (visa fees not included), visit to the Livingstone Museum  and the local market, excursions  by canoe, fishing  (catch and release method, not possible during the month of December as this is the breeding season).
 
Day 7
Full day at the lodge, including the activities of the day mentioned above. 

 
Day 8
Full day at the lodge, including the previously mentioned activities for the day.

 
Day 9  Thorntree River Lodge - Victoria Falls - Hwange National Park ( Zimbabwe) 
After the last morning activity and breakfast, transfer by flight to Victoria Falls airport. From here continue by flight to Hwange National Park. Stay at the Somalisa Camp, a luxury camp (3 nights - All inclusive treatment - drinks and activities included)  in a private concession in the heart of the park, known as the Land of the Giants" or the Elephants!  
Somalisa itself is known to attract numerous herds of elephants and others to its waterhole right in front of the lodge.

The view is breathtaking: while sipping a drink you can hear the lions roar, see the elephants watering at the waterhole and at the same time continue to feast your eyes and soul in the unique African sunset light. Activities at the lodge are varied: game drives in an open vehicle, walking safaris, visiting the local craft market. 
 
Day 10
Full day at the lodge, including the activities of the day mentioned above.

 
Day 11
Full day at the lodge, including the previously mentioned activities of the day.

 
Day 12 Hwange National Park - Victoria Falls - Johannesburg - Italy
After the last morning activity and breakfast, transfer by flight to Victoria Falls airport in time for boarding. Flight to Johanensburg and onwards on the intercontinental flight to Italy.
