Group Tour with Italian Guide (July → October)
Between July and October the Great Migration goes up to the North Serengeti (Kogatende / Mara River / Mara Triangle): Huge herds of wildebeest and zebra, predators in action and – with a bit of luck – the famous Mara River crossings. Small group with guide in Italian, selected lodges/camps, 4×4 with sunroof and full board during safari.
.
Note Migration: movements are natural and depend on rainfall/grazing; placing at Kogatende during this period maximises the chances of seeing crossings, without being able to guarantee them.
Day 1 – Arrival Kilimanjaro/Arusha → Arusha
Reception at the airport, private transfer to Arusha with guide in Italian. Afternoon relaxation.
Overnight stay: Amani Safari Lodge – DBB (dinner + breakfast)
Day 2 – Tarangire (full day) → Karatu
Safari in the Tarangire (2,600 km²): baobab, large herds of elephants, felines, wildebeest, zebra, ~500 bird species. The Tarangire River and the Silale Swamp concentrate fauna in the dry season.
Overnight stay: Marera Valley Lodge (Karatu) – LDBB (lunch + dinner + breakfast)
Day 3 – Ngorongoro Crater → Central Serengeti
Descent into Ngorongoro Crater (diameter 16–20 km; 25,000+ large mammals). Late afternoon transfer to the central Serengeti (Seronera).
Accommodation: Serengeti Pure Camp – LDBB
Day 4 – Central Serengeti → North Serengeti (Kogatende / Mara River)
Game drive and ascent towards Kogatende to position in the Migration area (jul–oct).
Overnight stay: Kogatende Pure Camp – LDBB
Day 5 – North Serengeti (full day – Migration)
Game drives among the plains and migratory corridors of the North Serengeti: moving herds, predations, hippos and crocodiles along the Mara River.
Overnight stay: Kogatende Pure Camp – LDBB
Optional at ’sunrise: Balloon Safari – Serengeti North.
Day 6 – Serengeti North → Karatu
Long scenic drive back through the Serengeti (game drive out) and the Ngorongoro Plains to Karatu.
Overnight stay: Marera Valley Lodge – LDBB
Day 7 – Karatu → Arusha → flight
