Travel Itinerary - Uganda Savanna & Primate Safari

Day 1 – Departure from Italy
. Scheduled flight to Entebbe, Uganda.

Day 2 – Entebbe
Arrival at the International Airport and meet with our correspondent. Transfer to hotel.
Hotel: Protea Hotel Entebbe / Admas Grand Hotel
Treatment: Bed and breakfast

Day 3 – Entebbe → Queen Elizabeth National Park
. Depart for Mbarara (4 hours). Lunch at the Igongo Cultural Centre, proceed to Queen Elizabeth Park (2 hours). In the afternoon game drive and experience the Kasoga Community.
Lodge: Mweya Safari Lodge / Aardvark Safari Lodge
Treatment: Full board

Day 4 – Queen Elizabeth National Park
. Morning game drive. Afternoon cruise on the Kazinga Channel, 32 km of biodiversity with hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles and thousands of birds.
Optional: Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge
Lodge: Mweya Safari Lodge / Aardvark Safari Lodge
Treatment: Full board

Day 5 – Queen Elizabeth → Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
. Transfer (6h) to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorillas. Lunch en route.
Lodge: Gorilla Leisure Lodge / Four Gorilla Lodge
Treatment: Full board

Day 6 – Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
. Breakfast and departure for the visitor centre. Briefing with rangers and start trekking through the forest in search of mountain gorillas. The close encounter is limited to 1 hour. Unique and intense experience.

Treatment: Full board

Day 7 – Bwindi → Lake Mburo National Park
. Depart for Lake Mburo National Park (6h), the smallest savannah reserve in Uganda. Photographic safari on arrival.
. Lodge: Kigambira Safari Lodge / Kigarama Wilderness Lodge
Treatment: Full board

Day 8 – Lake Mburo → Entebbe and Return
. Nature walk in the park (weather permitting), then transfer to Entebbe with a stopover at the equator. Return flight to Italy.
