When to go

• May–September (dry season): low vegetation, animals concentrated on rivers and pools → game viewing excellent.

• November–March (green season): green landscapes, births, birding excellent; rain possible and grass taller.

• Intermediate (April/October): great balance between weather, visibility and rates.

Health note: Some areas fall in malaria zones. Consult a travel medicine doctor for the most suitable prophylaxis. Or use the effective South African repellents that keep these pesky insects away.

What è the difference between Kruger and Greater Kruger (private reserves)?
In the Kruger NP you drive on park roads and off-roads are limited; in the private reserves (Greater Kruger) you get off the track when you need to, with ranger & tracker, open vehicles and reduced groups.

How many nights do you need on private reserve?
We recommend 3–4 nights (6–8 activities). If you want to combine with the park or other areas, plan 6–8 nights total.

When è is the best time for safaris?
May–September for top visibility; November–March for green scenery and excellent birding.

Can children participate in safaris?
